Our department has a number of midwives on faculty for obstetric or gynecologic care. We also have connections to several excellent, well-established groups of independent midwives. All those affiliated with the department are highly-trained, certified nurse-midwives, and each works in collaboration with one of our faculty physicians. Each can attend births in Roosevelt’s Birthing Center or in the conventional labor and delivery suite.
Practices in partnership with Sandy Woods, CNM, and with Jacques Moritz, MD, who will co-manage any complications of pregnancy.
Provides continuous care throughout pregnancy, during the birth process and in the postpartum period.
Offers choice and flexibility to couples and families, attending births in both the Roosevelt Hospital Birthing Center and in the Labor and Delivery Suite.
