The practice office at 425 West 59th Street, Suite 5D, across from Roosevelt Hospital now includes Louise Chuu, MD; Michelle Francis, MD; Moushumi Shoma Datta, MD; and Marigrace D. Lim, MD. While each is interested in all aspects of general obstetrics and gynecology, these physicians bring together a diversity of special skills.

Marigrace D. Lim is new to the department’s faculty; she has special skill in gynecologic laparoscopy, the surgical treatment of uterine fibroids and other conditions without a major incision.
Louise Annlea Chuu, MD, has joined the 59th Street office while maintaining her practice in Morningside Heights. Dr. Chuu is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology, and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
Moushumi Shoma Datta, MD, has specialty training in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery for uterine fibroids, endometriosis, benign pelvic masses and various other gynecologic conditions. She is fluent in Spanish and Bengali
Michelle Francis, MD, is Director of Medical Student Education for our department, and is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology.
The physicians provide all aspects of general obstetric and gynecologic care, including:
General primary and preventive health care for women;
Prenatal care and all obstetrical services, including labor and delivery;
Birth control, complete gynecologic exams, and testing;
HPV testing and vaccine to help prevent cervical cancer;
Medical and surgical care for gynecologic problems, including fibroids, abnormal bleeding, and premenstrual syndrome (PMS).
