Dr. Rosenn has been director of the Division of Obstetrics and Maternal-Fetal Medicine at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center since 2000; he is also director of the hospital center’s MFM Fellowship Program. Additionally, he is a professor of clinical obstetrics and gynecology at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons.
Dr. Rosenn received his medical degree from Hebrew University Hadassah Medical School in Jerusalem. He received postgraduate training in obstetrics and gynecology at Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem, and at the University of Cincinnati (UC), where he also completed a clinical fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine. From 1991 through 1997, he was the medical director of the University Women’s Health Service at the UC College of Medicine. From 1997 until 2000, he was acting director of the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine of the Christ Hospital, also affiliated with UC.
Dr. Rosenn is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology, and in the maternal-fetal medicine subspecialty. His clinical expertise spans the full range of high-risk obstetrics, including obstetrical ultrasound. He has focused his research efforts on the management of insulin-dependent diabetes in pregnant women, and has been awarded numerous grants in that area. He has published his findings widely in peer-reviewed journals, while also making numerous presentations to professional societies and authoring book chapters.
He is an elected member of several professional societies, including the Society of Gynecologic Investigation (SGI), the Perinatal Research Society (PRS), and the New York Obstetrical Society. He is a founding member of the North American Study Group on Diabetes in Pregnancy and a member of the Society of Maternal-Fetal Medicine (SMFM); he was voted leader of the SMFM’s Diabetes in Pregnancy Special Interest Group for 2000-2002. |
