Dr. Simon joined the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2002, and in 2003, became director of Ambulatory Obstetrics and Gynecology for St. Luke's Hospital. In addition, she is an assistant clinical professor of obstetrics and gynecology at Columbia University Colege of Physicians and Surgeons. She is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology.
Dr. Simon earned her BA in public policy at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, and studied medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine (AECOM) in Bronx, New York. She remained at AECOM for her residency training in obstetrics and gynecology, serving as administrative chief resident in her final year, 2001-2002. Dr. Simon presented her research on an alternative to surgery for ectopic pregnancy at the World Congress on Controversies in Obstetrics and Gynecology in June 2002. She is a junior fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and is interested in all aspects of general obstetrics and gynecology, including operative gynecology and laparoscopy.
