Dr. David Cole provides expert, comprehensive and compassionate obstetric care for women at high risk for complications during pregnancy, labor and delivery. He is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, and in the maternal-fetal medicine subspecialty. While his clinical expertise spans the full range of high-risk obstetrics, Dr. Cole has special interests in prematurity prevention for women with a history of preterm delivery, management of multiple pregnancies, performance of multiple cesarean sections, and medical complications of pregnancy.

Dr. Cole earned his medical degree at the University of Miami School of Medicine. He completed his residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine (AECOM), where he remained for fellowship training in maternal-fetal medicine. From 2003 until 2006, Dr. Cole was director of high-risk pregnancy clinics at Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx, and was also an assistant professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at AECOM. In 2004, Dr. Cole was chosen by the residents at AECOM as their best teacher among the faculty physicians, and thus, he received the National Faculty Award of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG). He joined the obstetrics and maternal-fetal medicine faculty at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center in 2007.

Dr. Cole is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) and a member of the American Medical Association. He has published and presented research abstracts on a range of obstetric topics, including placenta accreta and labor induction, at national meetings of the Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine and of ACOG.
