Dr Schwartz joined the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in July of 2007. Prior to joining our faculty, she worked as an attending obstetrician-gynecologist for eight years with the North Bronx Healthcare Network, encompassing Jacobi Medical Center and North Central Bronx Hospital. During this time, she was an assistant professor at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Her duties included direct patient care in ambulatory, inpatient, and surgical settings, as well as education of residents and medical students. Additionally, she served as chair of the Peer Review Committee and as a high school student mentor in the Einstein Enrichment Program. Dr. Schwartz is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology. Her skills include all aspects of general obstetrics and gynecology, and she is fluent in Spanish as well as English.

Dr. Schwartz earned her Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Pennsylvania, where she majored in history and sociology of science, and minored in Spanish. She received her medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Schwartz completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. She is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists; she is also a member of the New York Gynecological Society and the American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology.
