Dr. Jew has been a faculty attending in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center since 1994. He was director of the Gynecology Service at St. Luke's Hospital from 1996 through 2000, and in 2001 became director of both Obstetrics and Gynecology for St. Luke's. Dr. Jew has a special interest in gynecologic surgery, including laparoscopy, and he is active in training the department's residents in gynecologic surgery and in obstetrics. Since 1995, he has been an assistant clinical professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. Prior to joining the faculty at St. Luke's-Roosevelt, Dr. Jew served as assistant physician-in-charge in the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at North Shore Community Hospital. He earned his BA in psychobiology cum laude at Harvard College, and received his medical education at Cornell University Medical College. He then completed his obstetrics and gynecology residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. He is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology, and is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
