Dr. Kanos has been a faculty attending physician in Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center since 2000. In 2002, he was also appointed assistant clinical professor of obstetrics and gynecology at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. In 2007, he additionally became director of our department’s Quality Improvement Program.
Before coming to St. Luke’s-Roosevelt, he served on the attending staff of the New York Medical Group, and also on that of the Staten Island Medical Group. He attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas as an undergraduate, and obtained his medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.
Dr. Kanos is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, and is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. While his practice spans all aspects of general obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Kanos has a special interest in gynecologic surgery, including laparoscopy and hysteroscopy.
